Using the sun to heat the water in your home will reduce your monthly utility bill, by up to 15% and your family's carbon footprint on the world. APS Rebates The maximum APS incentive you can receive is equal to 50 percent of the total system cost. Other incentives such as a Federal tax credit (30 percent of the system cost) and a State tax credit (25 percent of system cost up to $1,000) may also be available to you. Participants are required to contribute a minimum of 15 percent of the actual system cost.

Solar Water Heating System Rebates and Tax Credits
Up to 15 percent of your energy bill can come from heating water, but the sun can do it for free. When you install a solar water heater, you may be eligible for a one-time incentive payment from APS equal to $0.75 times the first year kWh savings your system provides (kWh savings estimates are based on the industry OG-300
performance rating as published by the Solar Rating and Certification Corporation).

SRP Rebates
SRP residential customers who install a solar water heating system qualify for a payment of $0.50/installed kWh (kilowatt hour) of energy savings, based on a OG-300 rating from the Solar Rating and Certification Corporation.

Homeowners can claim a 25% tax credit (maximum of $1,000 credit) on solar devices installed on a residence. This is a one time tax credit and restricts the homeowner for additional credits for solar purchases made for the same residence in subsequent years.
The federal business energy tax credit is a 30% tax credit available to commercial businesses that invest in or purchase energy property in the United States. The 30% tax credit is also available to homeowners, capped at $2,000 until 1/1/09, then uncapped (part of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008)
